$250,000 Donated In 2022 Via Elevation’s Music Festivals

CLEVELAND, OH (January 6, 2023) – Elevation Festivals, creators and producers of the Midwest’s largest contemporary music festivals announced today that through their 2022 music festivals they were able to facilitate contributions totaling $250,000 to various organizations in the markets where Elevation stages its festivals: Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh.

“When we started festival #1 in Cleveland in 2016, our first champion was Michelle Wesley of theWesley Family Foundation,” stated Elevation President Denny Young. “Michelle encouraged us, rightly so, to use live music to elevate our communities through a give back program that would bring attention and money to various organizations where we stage our events. She was the catalyst behind Music Elevates, which if you have attended WonderRoad, WonderStruck or WonderBus, you have been exposed to Music Elevates each and every year. And this mission has helped fuel strong relationships with organizations including CAS (A division of the American Chemical Society based in Columbus, OH and a global leader in scientific information solutions),The Shipyard (A Columbus-based marketing agency – Engineering Brand Love), MOKB (Bringing the best live music to Indy since 2008) and others that have been instrumental in our ability to deliver on our commitment to these communities.”

I think it’s clear when we come together we can do great things. These Wonder Festivals are our way of leaving a helping footprint.”

“Last February, MedWish began working with recipient organizations to facilitate shipments of medical supplies to Ukraine to help those impacted by the war. To date we have shipped approximately 150,000 lbs. of support as part of our crisis relief efforts,” stated Britta Latz,Executive Director of MedWish International. “Not only did Elevation provide financial contributions early in the crisis that enabled MedWish to provide aid, Elevation also allowed us to spread the word about our efforts at the Wonderstruck Music Festival.”

ADDITIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL SUPPORT IN 2022

As in years past, Elevation worked closely with Zero Waste Event Productions in 2022 to ensure that 90% of festival waste avoided landfills.

Each event in 2022 collaborated with Headcount to use the power of music to register voters and promote participation in democracy.

Finally, and with the utmost importance, Elevation Festivals worked with This Must Be The Place in an effort to help save lives. This Must Be The Place is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization harnessing the arts to help treat substance use and behavioral disorders. This past summer, the team traveled the country’s music festivals handing out over 10,000 doses of free Naloxone in the fight against the fentanyl epidemic.

“Elevation Festivals was the first large-scale music festival company to say ‘yes’ to us,” statedIngela Travers-Hayward and William Perry of This Must Be The Place. At Elevation’s events, we passed out thousands of Nasal Naloxone Kloxxado kits. Of the people we reached, almost 45% had already been affected by overdose — they knew someone in their family, in their social circle who had previously overdosed, whether fatal or non-fatal. Fentanyl-laced drugs are becoming more and more prevalent This is how far-reaching the overdose epidemic is. Nasal Naloxone is life-saving and is as easy to use as a Flonase, but access can be incredibly limited, and there is unfortunately still stigma around carrying it. But within the safe-space created at Elevation’s festivals, attendees needed very little convincing of the importance of keeping a Naloxone kit close by.”

2023 Festival Events

The lineups for each of our previously-announced 2023 festivals will be revealed shortly. At the time the lineups are disclosed, all tickets will go on sale for each festival with Adult single-day tickets starting at $65 (Friday night in Columbus may vary due to charity benefit) and weekend tickets $109 ($139 for three days in Columbus). As we get closer to each festival, prices will increase, however under no circumstance will a single-day Adult ticket ever cost more than $99 (+svc fees).
